Asia Society Finland Association

Asia Society Finland, founded in 2001, is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious association aiming to promote understanding about Asia among the individuals and institutions in Finland and Asia. We seek to enhance dialogue between academia, business and government, while creating innovative ideas for sustainable development across the fields of politics, economics, education and culture. Asia Society Finland membership is open to all individuals, institutions and corporations that are committed in fostering Asia-Finland relations and supporting the mission of the Asia Society Finland.  

Asia Society Finland promotes discourse that takes the form of seminars, lectures and academic workshops bringing together academics and professionals. Our programme includes:

•Asian Trends seminars: that will focus on a diversity of contemporary topics that have global impact e.g. the strategies of regionalism, energy politics, security issues and new national identities

•Asia Lectures: that will analyse current issues and news related to Asia 

•Asia Workshops: that will present academic multidisciplinary studies on Asia

Increase your knowledge on contemporary Asia, its countries and regions, find diverse cultures, history, philosophies and art. The Asia Society Finland website contains the glimpses of Asia and will provide information on the events given by the society. The members will receive invitations to all seminars, lectures, workshops and other events organised by Asia Society Finland.
